Even without the tomatoes, the burger was still big. The brioche bun was perfect, soft and crispy. Cajun fries were shoestring fries with Cajun seasoning, very delicious! The burger was cooked to order, I got mine medium-rare and it was excellent. Highly recommend this meal!

Everyone was so nice and the food was delicious. The bread pudding was the best I've ever had! We also had a sampler and an order of etouffe, it was all really good but some were a little spicy hot. It would have helped for the different dishes to be labeled since it was a to go order. 5 out of 5 stars!

We recently moved back to louisville and tried Lou Lou's Middletown location. Very nice vibe, good service and good food. We'll be back soon to try another delicious item.

Also had grits as a side. Sandwich was good but substantially smaller than one in st matthews. Truly DID NOT CARE for the grits. Not as creamy as st matthews and had " black flecks" in them. Asked for the sauce on shrimp and grits and on 3rd try gave up..i got cheese and something else that was still just nasty and doesnt go with grits. Our server missed his mark to have a smile on his face and act like we as a big group mattered to him..he forgot refills and when asked made up lame excuses and to the tune before serving that people in this area seem to be " entitled..trouble etc" which sometimes is true but keep it to yourself and don't pre judge us. We are retired nurses out for a lunch reunion and he added nothing to his service that would make us want to come back...will be better off going to st matthews,as those people ALWAYS seem to truly care and considering this is a new location you might want to get those who live closer to middletown to stay instead of going to st matthews. Just all my opinion but I truly was dissappinted and HATED the grits..my friend did let me taste her sauce on her shrimp and grits and it was excellent..just don't like okra and sausage in my shrimp and grits...wish you good luck with new restuarant
